How to screw up a corkscrew

Well it's been a long time since I actually tried to draw anything, and it shows! It was a lot harder than I expected, and I'm not all that pleased with the result. At least you can tell what it is!
I think I need to put a little more thought into my choice of subject. Ultimately I'd like to do something more exciting than sketching too, but the materials are cheap and I feel I should get to grips with the basics first.
