This is my attempt to motivate myself to finally get to grips with art. It's something I've always wanted to do, but I didn't often have the time; and when I did, I never persevered long enough to achieve anything worthwhile.
This time I'm going to take it seriously, and "blog" my steps along the way in the hope that others may benefit, and perhaps even have some tips or advice for me. I'm hoping this will stop me falling off the art wagon again!
My first task will be to decide exactly what sort of art I should focus on. My problem is I have a wide interest - sketching, painting and sculpture all sound appealing. I'm not sure which I would be best at. I want something achievable but I also want a challenge.
So...any advice?
I think I need to put a little more thought into my choice of subject. Ultimately I'd like to do something more exciting than sketching too, but the materials are cheap and I feel I should get to grips with the basics first.
